IYTA

The IYTA is an international organisation founded in Australia in 1967 by Roma Blair.  It has international representatives and members in Austria, Canada, Fiji, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Oman, Singapore, South Africa and the United Kingdom. As well as independent affiliates in Brazil, Puerto Rico and Spain.

The IYTA aims to promote the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits of yoga for everybody, regardless of age, sex, ability or disability, ethnicity or religion.

The IYTA’s primary activity is to conduct yoga teacher training (Hatha based).  The well-established and highly regarded course has been running for over forty years with over two thousand students graduating.  The IYTA also provides excellent Continuing Professional Development programmes and offers a Diploma of Pre and Post Natal Teacher Training (Applied Yoga Techniques). 

The IYTA promotes yoga’s many benefits – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. It aims to increase understanding and application of the principles and philosophy of Yoga.
