Why do the IYTA Teacher Training Course?
The course is well-established offered by a truly international and highly regarded organization focusing on an integrated and well-rounded approach to yoga. It is designed to provide solid content and wide-ranging coverage while also fitting in with today’s busy lifestyles with eleven study weekends and a five -day residential, over thirteen months.
The course includes over two hundred hours of lectures/teaching, plus individual assignments and mentorship. It covers spiritual and philosophical aspects of yoga as well as physical aspects.
It actively encourages participants to reflect and think for themselves, to develop their own interpretations and understanding of how yoga principles, psychology and philosophy apply in their everyday life, embracing many perspectives and the format fosters opportunity to develop strong friendships with like-minded people.
It provides an introduction to and solid grounding in yoga for teenagers, seniors, and pregnant women which gives participants a strong foundation for further specialisation if desired. The next course commences June 2013.
