Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking the services of a Yoga Teacher for their staff gym. It is a one hour class, once a week for their staff members. Location is corner of Elizabeth and La Trobe Streets, Central Melbourne.

Combined CPR & CPR Refresher Course for SYDNEY teachers, 19 May 2013, Mosman

Membership renewal is coming up at the end of June and it is time to ensure that your First Aid and CPR Training is up to date prior to this time.

YA NSW has organised accredited CPR & CPR Refresher courses and First Aid Certification & Recertification training. The training will be facilitated by Steve Allan of Surf Life Saving NSW, a Yoga practitioner who has facilitated CPR courses for YA in the past with great success.

ABOUT THE CPR TRAINING
The CPR & CPR Refresher training takes about three hours and both will be held simultaneously at Yoga Sivana Studio, Mosman, Sydney. Please see more information about Yoga Sivana Studio below:

FIRST AID TRAINING
YA and IYTA are aware that there are also members who wish to acquire or update First Aid Certification before 30th June 2013.

The date for the first aid training has been set for the 16 June 2013 and will be held in Metropolitan Sydney, the venue will be confirmed as soon as possible. Once again, training will be facilitated by Steve Allen.

Both the First Aid Course and the Re-certification training will be run simultaneously over 6-7 hours.

Swami Kriyananda’s Mahasamadhi

Swami Kriyananda, one of the very last surviving disciple of the great spiritual master, Paramahansa Yogananda, took his last breath on Sunday 21 April 2013 near Assisi, Italy.

The IYTA hosted Swami Kriyananda at the IYTA Convention in September 1977 held at Kuranda, North Queensland and after the convention he was made a patron of IYTA.
